Shelley Taylor-Smith, a retired legend with seven world titles under her belt, has returned to her roots at Mettams Pool, where she honed her skills. Almost six decades after her swimming journey began, Shelley decided to pay it forward, offering her expertise to a group of women eager to conquer their fears and build confidence in the water.
"I never imagined my social media post would reach so far! It started as a simple invitation, but it sparked something special," Shelley shared.
But here's where it gets controversial... This isn't just about swimming technique; it's about building a community that supports and inspires. Each woman has a unique story, a reason why they became a 'teabagger'.
Kathy, a former swim teacher, heard Shelley's call and joined the group to help women gain confidence. "Seeing the ladies transform from terrified to confident swimmers is incredible. I even went back to teaching!"
