Cumulus Media has introduced a new Dallas/Fort Worth Country channel, launching “Country Legends & Texas Classics 93.3 HD2” on 93.3 WBAP-HD2 in Haltom City. The station emphasizes country hits from the 1970s and 1980s, spotlighting artists such as George Strait, Willie Nelson, Alabama, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, and Reba McEntire. The soft launch took place at noon today, kicking off with George Strait’s “Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind.”
This HD2 addition sits alongside Cumulus’s existing Dallas brands, joining New Country 96.3 KSCS and 99.5 The Wolf KPLX to form a robust trio within the market’s country repertoire.
Cumulus Regional Vice President Dan Bennett commented, “We’re doubling down on our long-term commitment to Texas Country by introducing Country Legends & Texas Classics 93.3 HD2. This station will shine a spotlight on memorable country hits from the 70s and 80s. When paired with our popular DFW country stations, 99.5 The Wolf and New Country 96.3, we create a strong, country-forward presence for our listeners in the DFW area and reinforce our confidence in this exceptional format.”
